First off, I know that these rear projection TVs have a color wheel and a fan in them.
But at night while watching quite TV I can hear a fan/wheel humming like a computer hard drive. Also when I shut the TV off I can hear the fan/wheel winding down with a ticking sound. It sounds like an old AC fan a faint tic,tic,tic like the blades are hitting something. It is not a very loud noise but I can hear it at night which is when I watch the TV the most.
This set is only 2 weeks old and CC says that I can exchange it.
What I want to know is this an inherent problem with this TV?
I am concerned that this will get worse.
Should I swap or look for a different TV?

i purchased a 5067 in dec. and now I have shadow on th fat side They came to fix it and orderd a new optical unit also it already seems dark sometimes. When I first bought it I was very happy with it but now I am a little concerned to soon to have problems with a new set |

Exchange it for another brand. Samsung sucks. Translation: consistently poor materials mean consistently poor reliability and performance. |
