Hi--I don't know if this is the correct board to ask this question but:....we are in a situation for church services in which we need to capture brief video clips from DVDs for projection during the worship service. We keep running up agains copyright protection which aborts the captures. The actual presentation of the clip is covered under the "fair educational use" copyright guidelines, but we need to get the clip rather than project from the dvd to integrate it with the rest of the presentation.

Anyone have an idea about the best hardware/software which would accomplish this?

thanks,
Erin Cox-Holmes

You can use DVD Decrypter, if you can still find it, or DVD Fab to get the DVD on the hard drive. Both are free programs. You'll need some type of editing/authoring software to put the clips you want together. Most programs have a 30 free trial.
