I have been using the Panasonic DVR-E85H for about 2 years and it has been one of the most useful products I have ever owned. A few months ago it started slowing down and taking forever to complete just about any function I tried and would eventualy lock up. I would then have to press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to restart everything. It would work fine for about 20 minutes and eventualy slow down and lock up again. I have tried downloading the latest OS code, resetting everything back to factory defaults and even formatting the HDD. It always comes back to life only to slow down and eventualy lock up again. Any suggestions??? Can I buy a vowel, or do I need to buy a new one???

Is the exhaust fan working? Is it blocked by anything? It shouldn't have anything that produces heat under or on top of it.
