My church needs to send a computer signal to a projector, a live camera video signal to two tv's. Also if I can attach the DVD player to this as well it would be good. Any ideas? I have looked at the Kramer electronics stuff but am not sure if it has what I need. |

Hi everybody! I am just wondering if I can watch a High Definition video stream from a Canon HV20 HD camcorder (1920 x 1080, via HDMI output) fed into my 22" LCD ACER AL2216W TFT display. This is 1680 x 1050 native, with DVI and VGA inputs only... I guess I need a HDMI-to-DVI cable (or adapter) to feed the signal into the monitor. But will I see the whole picture or just a portion of the frame??!! I think the monitor is just doing a point-to-point job, while there is no downscaling interface inbetween! Generally, how do you feed a Full HD video signal into slightly lower resolution TFT devices, still preserving a nearly HD viewing quality? I would appreciate any related hint from a more knowlegeable 'Ecoustics' member... Thank you! |

Hi! I forgot to say that the HD signal I mentioned above does not come as a "full HD" signal from the camcorder, but as a 1440x1080 HDV standard, with non-square pixels... Still need to view it on a 1680x1050 display device, in a proper 16:9 ratio... What should I do to see it on a COMPUTER monitor, not on a 'Full HD' TV panel?... Cheers! |
