I'm baffalled. I just bought a sony dvd recorder to replace a broken vcr. I have an old RCA colortrack TV. I've connected the main cable line to my cable box "in" - then the cable box "out" to the new dvd recorder "in" - then the dvd recorder "out" to the TV "in" (the TV only has one cable port - no red/yellow/white ports). After the hook-up is completed, the instructions tell me I should see a set-up screen on my TV. I don't, and can't seem to change the "input" selection so that the signal from the dvd appears on my TV screen. What is the problem? The TV perhaps? I'd appreciate any assistance. |

DVD recorders don't output through the coax out, they just pass the incoming signal. You need a TV with line inputs, or an RF modulator. |

David: Thanks. I tried what you suggested and now I'm in business! |
