I have just bought a second hand VCR, I tried it before buying and it appeared to work perfectly. When I got home however (only an hour later) and tried it, it will not do anything except accept and eject tapes, ie. will not play, rewind etc. I'm wondering if the Pro-Tect Plus feature is turned on, but I didn't turn it on because I don't have the remote and neither did the previous owner so I am puzzled.
