I bought this lcd from a freind about 6 months ago and it worked fine untill now. after about 45 mins it has an on screen display that sayes it needs filter cleaning call a service tech and it will shut off after a min...and does.
I called a couple of service shops and they all say the same thing "bring it in then we will grab the service manaul look up the problem, stare at it for a little bit, and write you up a bill."

What I am asking is
Has anybody had this problem?
what is the cost?
is it some thing I can fix myself?
Any information at all?
