I have the Sony 50" SXRD tv and wanted to run the power through a battery backup in case my power went off. I wanted to just keep the fans on to cool the bulb while the TV powers down. I got a great deal on the Belkin 750VA 400 watt surge surpressor ($49.00 after rebate) and just wanted to be sure it will be large enough. If I am watching TV, my plans are that if the power goes out, i will immediately turn off the tv and let the fans run off the battery until they shut down. Will this unit work ok? (6 plugs, all 6 are on the surge surpressor, 4 also on battery backup) What do you think? |

That Sony should be less than 250 Watts max, so the 400W backup should be enough to do what you described. |

Are you kidding! Plug your STB and SS receiver into it and just watch tv until the power comes back on. It shouldn't be out but a few minutes anyway. I've done it several times. |
