MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
DVD-750 1. Open drawer.
2. Press 9, 8, 1, 7 on the remote control.
3. Press ENTER till region 9 for region free, or regions 1 to 6.
4. Press RETURN.
5. There is also an option in the menu to remove Macrovison and set PAL output.
6. This method has been confirmed to undo any wrongs from other sites' codes where they wreck the ability to play DVDs!!

In some cases, Macrovision may need to disabled this way:

1. Open the player's tray.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: 4, 5, 6, 1.
3. Press Enter on the remote until "Disable" appears on the screen.
4. Close the player's tray.

DVD-1000 1. Open drawer.
2. Press 9, 9, 9, 9 on the remote control.  Using 8, 4, 2, 1, or 8, 2, 4, 1 may also work.
3. Press ENTER till region 9 for region free, or regions 1 to 6.
4. Press RETURN.
5. Close the tray and switch the player off and back on again.
6. There may be an option in the menu to remove Macrovison and set PAL output.		 8421 method confirmed.

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
DVD-1002, 1002W 1. Open drawer by pressing the Open/Close button on the remote control.
2. Press the Clear button on the remote control.
3. Using the remote control, key in the following: 1, 3, 6, 9, followed by the region number required, or 0 for region free.
4. Press the Open/Close button on the remote control.

Try 1, 3, 5, 9 in step 3 if the above doesn't work.

Another method if the above doesn't work:

1. Press the Setup button on your remote control.
2. Press the 1 button on your remote control for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 7 for region-free.
3. Using the remote control, key in the following: Pause/Step, Previous, Next, Setup.

And another here:

ENSURE A REGION 2 DVD IS THE IN TRAY AND THE TRAY IS CLOSED
1. PRESS SETUP
2. PRESS A NUMBER FROM 1-6 FOR THE REQUIRED REGION
(7 FOR REGION FREE).
3. PRESS PAUSE/STEP
4. PRESS PREVIOUS
5. PRESS PREVIOUS
6. PRESS SETUP

And another:

1. PUT A REGION 2 DISC IN PLAYER.
2. WHEN IT IS LOADING UP PRESS "SETUP".
3. PRESS "7" FOR MULTI REGION, or the region number required.
4. PRESS "PAUSE/STEP".
5. PRESS PREVIOUS " |> ".
6. PRESS SETUP.

And ANOTHER:

1. Switch on.
2. On the remote press "open/close",0,1,2,3, open/close.
3. The disc should play straight away, but nothing is shown on the screen.

Remove Macrovision:

Open, Clear, 4, 5, 6, 1, 0, Close.
