REGION FREE METHODS FOR : Omni

SL-2000KD 		1.  Turn the player on.
2.  Open the player disc tray.
3.  Press 2, 1, 6, 8, followed by the region you want , or 9 for region free.l		   

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
SPL3000G 1.  Press SETUP on the remote on the remote control.
2.  Press 3, 8, 8, 8, 3 on the remote control.
3.  You can then go to whatever region you want or set it to BYPASS for region-free.

Select PAL or NTSC:

1.  Press the SETUP button on the remote control.
2.  Press 7, 2, 5, 5, 5 on the remote control.
3.  You should now be able to change the output between PAL, NTSC and AUTO.

Setting CSS and Macrovision:

1. Using the remote control, key in the following: Setup, 5, 9, 0, 4, 1, 9.
2. There are then two options available: CSS and Macrovision.
3. CSS allows you to set to Auto (plays all DVDs), or Off (will not play copyrighted DVDs).
4. Macrovision allows you to set to Auto (Copy protection on), or Off (Copy protection off).

Check firmware version:

1.  Press the SETUP button on the remote control.
2.  Press 1, 2, 3, 4 on the remote control.  Try 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 if this doesn't work.
3.  You should now be able to see the firmware version date.
