REGION FREE METHODS FOR : Norcent

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
LHNT 2000, 201, 210 1. Power on the player.
2. Open the player's tray.
3. Using the remote control, key in the following: 8, 4, 2, 1.
4. Key in the number of the region required, or use 9 for region free.
5. Close the player's tray to finish.		   

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
DP 300 This only works with  models that have the serial number starting with HE113:

1. Turn the power on.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: Open/Close, 8, 8, 8, 8, Setup, Next.
3. The "Factory Control Page" appears: select the region required, or "ALL" for region free.
4. Insert DVD, press Play.
5. Region setting is preserved after powerdown/powerup.

Some models may only display a Preferences menu, where you can change TV type, but no region facility

Some other changes to the method may have to be employed:

Setup (You'll see the setup screen)
8 8 8 8 Next
The setup screen flashes and you'll see that a new button "Version" appears on the screen. There you can set the region code to 0.

And another method for older versions:

1. Turn the power on.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: Open/Close, Setup, 8, 8, 8, 8, Next.
3. The "Factory Control Page" appears: select the region required, or "ALL" for region free.
4. Insert DVD, press Play.
5. Region setting is preserved after powerdown/powerup.

This method only works with models that have the serial number starting with HE112:

Eject disc tray
1. Press SETUP
2. Press 1, 3, 6, 9
3. Press Left Arrow 3 times (the menu navigation arrow, not |<< or << )
4. Press Right Arrow 1 time (the menu navigation arrow, not >>| or >> )
5. Go to version and change the region to 0 for region free.

3. Then for:
region 1: mute, stop, zoom
region 2: mute, stop, 1/all
region 3: mute, stop, A-B

region 5: mute, stop, <<FR
region 6: mute, stop, FF 		Yes

DP 1600 1. Turn on the DVD (with no disc).
2. Using the remote control press "open/close " button once.
3. Press 8, 8, 8, 8.
4. Press Setup button, then Next button.
5. Then appears "Factory Region Control Page" or something like that.
6. Select "ALL", for region free, or the region number required.		 Yes
