1. Connect player to the mains, but do not power on
(ie leave in StandBy mode) and do not insert a disc. 2. Press and hold down DIMMER and REVERSE SKIP buttons on the front of the player, then press the power on. 3. The display should now read "NAKAMICHI". 4. Press and hold the DIMMER and REVERSE SKIP buttons for a few seconds. 5. The display should read "----". Release the buttons held. 6. Wait for minimum of 5 seconds, then press 1, 9, 9, 9 on the remote control. 7. The display should now read "A-00 D-02", where D02 is the region (2 in this case). 8. Type in the new code for the desired region, such as 01 for region 1, 02 for region 2, 00 for region-free etc, using the remote control, then press ENTER. 9. The display should read D and the number you entered. 10. Turn the power OFF and the machine is set to the new region. |
