REGION FREE METHODS FOR : Medion

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
MD-7888 1.  Make sure there is no DVD in the tray and the player is in standby mode.
2.  Power on the player with the remote control.
3.  Press MENU, 9, OPEN/CLOSE, 5
4.  You can then choose from regions 1 to 6.		   

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
MD-7950A 1.  Press STANDBY on the remote control to power it down.
2.  Press STANDBY on the remote control to turn the player on.
3.  Open the drive tray.
4.  Press 8, 9, 2, 6 on the remote control.
5.  Press one of the following buttons on the remote control:
6.  1 to 6 for the specific region.
7.  9 for regionfree.
8.  7 for MP3 mode.
9.  8 for VCD mode.
10. Insert the disc and close the drive tray.

2. Press Setup on the remote control to get into the menu.
3. Go to the Custom menu.
4. Press 3, 3, 3, 3 on the remote control.
5. You can then enter a number from 0 to 6 and then press Enter on the remote control to change the region.
6. Press Setup on the remote control.

To enable RCE discs to play:

Follow the steps as above, but enter the region number of the disc that has RCE protection in order to allow the disc to play.

NOTE: If you use region 0, then RCE discs will play regardless apparently.

5. Press Pause.
6. Press I<< (STEP BACK) button (under Slow/R).
7. Press >>I (STEP FORWARD) button (under Slow/F).
8. Press Setup.		 Yes, but may not work on some models of 4310.

2. Press the Menu button on your remote control.
3. On your remote control, press the buttons 1, 6 and 7, in order, one at a time.
4. Press the 1 button on your remote control for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback.

Most players now do not seem to support the multi-region option, but there is no limit on the number of changes you can make.
