DVD-AV2 To set the region code for the player:
Open the DVD/CD drawer
Push SETUP on the remote
Enter 91001 on the remote
Push STEP on the remote
Push SHUFFLE on the remote
Push NEXT on the remote

The hack was supplied through the dealer and have been found working.
A few region 1 movies will not play if the player is set to region 9, in that case change the region code to 11001 instead of 91001.

You can use the following codes:
91001: Will play on any movie
11001: United States & Canada
21001: Western Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, & Japan
31001: Southeast Asia including Hong Kong
41001: Central & South America
51001: Africa, Eastern Europe, & Central Asia including India
61001: China
71001: Reserved
81001: International locations such as airplanes


To check which region the player is set to do the following
Open the DVD/CD drawer
Push SETUP on the remote
Push SHUFFLE on the remote
Push STEP on the remote
Push NEXT on the remote
Go to DEBUG in the menu and push RIGHT ARROW, the region is the marked

DVD51K3 1. Open the CD drawer.
2. Press <Setup> on the remote and right arrow to get to the 'preferences' screen.
3. type 1379 and you are in the region setup.
4. Use 'arrow up' to change the region code (0=All).

DVD-20K1 1. Using the remote control, key in the follwoing: Setup, Stop, Skip Back (|<<), Skip Forward (>>|).
2. You are now taken to the hidden Region + miscellaneous setup menu.

2. Press 'Setup'.
3. Choose 'Custom Setup'.
4. Press "3333" on the remote.
