I was wondering about sticking DVD labels on.Is this something that might cause the DVD not to play 10-20 years down the road? I've stuck labels on my CDs and they play fine 4 years later, but I don't know if any damage will occur years later.Right now I'm holding off until I can get some good advice. Would appreciate any. Do most of you use labels or avoid them? |

Stay away from labels. DVDs spin much faster than CDs with a track that is not near as wide. Labels can throw the disc out of balance and/or warp the disc when the labels dry and shrink. |

Is it bad for the disc or the DVD player? |

Mostly the disc, but out of balance discs put more strain on the spindle motor from the extra vibration. |
