For the past 6 months or more, neither Best Buy or Circuit City have been selling any of the Panasonic DVD Recorders with built in hard drives. As a matter of fact, I do not see them sold anywhere. What is the problem? Is Panasonic still manufacturing DVD Recorders with hard drives? Or waiting to see how the technology of the industry changes before deciding what to do?

I would like to see one invented that records on DVD+R-DL discs.

They are in between old and new models. DL discs won't play on most players, that's probably why standalones don't do them.
