Hi folk's
Has anyone got the instruction's to change region's on a Sony DVP-M50 DVD player. Just bought a dvd in Ireland without thinking and the dam thing is region 1 only and I am on region 2

i have sony dvd player model dvp-ns575p it shows black & white picture while playing dvd but in vcd it shows a colour in my onida tv 21IQ series. its works fine in other lastest tv. please help me out for if any unlocks is their bcoz im hv any capacity to change my tv. |

Hi people, need a code for a Saivod DVCI 21T.
It is actually refusing to play dvds, will do copies and music still.. just doesn't play official dvds, so I reckon unlocking may get by the problem. A few weeks out of warranty... TYPICAL!

Any DVD players from most of the brand names (eg. sony, panasonic, pioneer, samsung etc.) are HARDWARE locked, and therefore require a hardware modification (like a chip) so stop asking for 'codes' for them. It's different for most other brands though. Just do a f*cking google search for chrissakes! |

Press open/close to open the tray
Type 167 on the remote. Choose which
region you want.
Panasonic RV-31:
Make sure there's no disc in the tray.
Close the tray.
Press stop.
Press stop again.
Press setup.
Press 38883
Press desired region number.

If you're interested, check out the following database of DVD handset codes. It's got a few machines that other sites don't feature, so I'm recommending it. It seems a good place to go for those rarer machines by the looks of things.
It's actually got a Sony unlock on one of its front pages. I don't know whether it works though, as I heard Sony machines can't be unlocked with a handset code? Who knows. Anyway, here's a link to the free page - the codes might be of some use to you. I know it did me!
