we have just bought a JVC DR-MV5SEK (dvd and vhs combi) and a new Panasonic LCD screen. We were told that a composite cable will work and will give us a better picture. BUt we cant get it to work.

Do you know if we can use just the composite cable (with no scart) and get picture and sound from both VHS and DVD?
