Could someone please give me a hand to unlock my pioneer DVR-310. It is currently a R4 and I would like to unlock it so it will play any and all regions.
Do I have to be a technician to do this without stuffing it ?

Simon, if you live in UK you might be able to get a service disc from Panasonic to unlock the recorder. From what I hear they aren't very hard to get outside the U.S. Contact Panasonic and see if they will send you one. |

For all interested parties. The DMR-ES15 cannot be remote, firmware CD or code hacked. It must be chipped. This info from Pannasonic UK who were happy to discuss it. I have no reason to believe them to be lying. They suggested I try Richer Sounds which I did. Their DMR-ES15s are all region 2 at present so chips may be hard to come by.

Panasonic models can be unlocked, but not with the supplied remote. You need a special remote as mentioned from the likes of www.multiregionupgrades.com. I can recommend these guys used them myself.

I'm desperately looking for a way to unlock a: Sharp DV NC65H. I have searched every where online and nothing but other people wanting the same thing as me. It's not the newest machine in the world, so surely somebody must've unlocked this thing, so if anyone can think of anything or a company that will unlock it as i'm willing to pay for this service?

I have just bought myself a Toshiba HDD AND dvd video
recorder, 160 GB disk drive, model numder RD-XS24.The problem is that, it is not multi-region, can only play region 2 discs. Does any one have any idea at all how to unlock it, change it into
multi-region? Is there a code that i might need? The make of my TV is Mitsubushi. Please help, anyone? |

Just bought a Philips DVDR 3390 at Walmarts to replace my fried ILO DVDR04. Seems to be doing all right but early days. Just wanted to note that the following hack code used for another philips model worked to make it region free.
To see the region:
Turn on the dvd with no disk inside, wait until no-disk is displayed and press "0009" + press "ok"
To change the code
Turn on the dvd with no disk inside, wait until no-disk is displayed and press "0086000"
Press "ok" button
The DVD is now regionfree (region 0)
(The last digit in the code is the region, e.g. 0086002 is region 2)
I refuse to buy a DVDR that cannot be made region free. Don't buy a panasonic if you have other region code dvds |

Please can anyone help? Being stuck in bed due to poor health & mobility problems, I have spent hours searching on line to see if I can find a hack code for any of my DVD players. I have a Toshiba D-VR16SB which I really don't think has a code as yet, and also my little portable Ferguson LDVD220. I know that people have been able to unlock the latter, but despite having searched for days now, I can't find a code :o( Knowing that I have been (and will be) stuck in bed for weeks, a friend kindly bought me a DVD to help keep me occupied. Despite being a DVD that I have wanted for years, it turns out to be R1, so I can't watch it. The friend is rather old and frail and doesn't understand about regions, and I am dreading having to tell him that I haven't yet watched it, as he could see how excited I was about it initially. Please could anyone help me with a hack for either or both of these DVD players so that I can watch my DVD rather than spend my waking hours combing the internet fruitlessly for the codes? I really would be truly grateful!

Turn DVD on Open Disc Tray
Using remote type 81328
This should then show "Region 2" on screen
Hit "Enter" key on remote till you get to "Region 9"
(Multi Region)

How to convert your CyberHome CH-DVR 1600into a Region Free DVD Player
There are two versions of the Cyberhome DVR 1600 which require different methods of changing the Region Coding
CH-DVR 1600 MU
1. Power Up the unit with NO Disc in the tray.
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Press the 1 button on your remote control
4. Press the 6 button on your remote control
5. Press the 9 button on your remote control
6. Press the 5 button on your remote control
7. Press the 1 button on your remote control
8. Press the 8 button on your remote control
9. Select the region code with the Number buttons or the Navigation Buttons on your remote control. 0 (Zero) for Multiregion.
10. Exit the menu
11. Press the Power Off button on your remote control
12. Press the Power On button on your remote control

Please help me, I have a LG DR-385 dvd recorder and I have tried just about every hack I could find on LG's but nothing seems to work. I am currently located in Europe and 90% of my DVDs are US DVDs, I need to make the thing regionfree... Please, if you know how to fix this, mail me at pentagramz@hotmail.com... I am losing my mind here |

Can anybody help med with the codes for a Funai D-D2831, I think its locked for europe region 2. I´m living in Denmark and have bought som dvds from the US and can´t play the. |

Can anyone tell me how to make my LG RH397D Multi-region? I did this to my old LG using the 314159 then 0 method but with my new one it just changes channels on the TV..........I am not very techo so need fairly specific steps.........thanks |

I have just bought a Telefunken DVD Recorder+VCR model TEL6CO5 from Kmart and discovered it is set for area 4 and cannot be changed. Is there a code for a model which seems not to be recorded anywhere at all to change the area code to a universal area code? |

Very few DVD recorders can be made region free. I don't know of any current recorders sold in the U.S. that can. DVD players are also going that way. Brands that could easily be made region free can't anymore.

Hi there everyone. A few people have mentioned needing a hack for their LG RH397D. There is a brilliant hack here for this machine: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/lg-rh397h/9896. It works for both the LG RH397D and the LG RH397H.
Many thanks to David for suggesting to check here - it is an excellent resource. By the way, the LG RH397D is a recorder, so it was great to find a hack for it. |
