Thread: DVD player won't play certain discs |

I just set up a surround sound system and upgraded to component video. The DVD player connects to the Surround Sound receiver via component, then SS receiver connects to the TV via a component to VGA cable. Everything works fine - I get sound, picture, everything BUT not with all DVDs. These DVDs are store-bought region one discs. Blade II will play fine, but Monsters, Inc won't show a video signal (I get sound OK). What is up? Is it my DVD player? I can get Monsters, Inc to play OK if I connect directly to the TV via composite. What makes this DVD different? Please help!! |

My grandson has a Venturer Portable DVD player(6.2" screen). all of sudden when you go to play a dvd it will load then tell you "no valid disc", but it has played these same dvd's before. What could be the problem, it does it with all his dvd's. |

Clean the lens and spindle with a q-tip wet with alcohol. |
