I bought my girlfriend a dvd player for xmas. I cannot get it to work. the tv has only one connection avaliable. ( 1 male ) I bought a rv cable? the one with red, yellow and white. The video player has only audio connections avliable so the white has no where to go and does not fit into the tv.. been stumped for days.. am i missing something very basic here can get thr video player to work though! please help.. |

sounds like the input is only coax. If there is no coax output on the DVD, go to radio shack and ask them for a RCA adaptor. Just tell them what you need, they will help you out. The r/w/y = RCA cords. red for right audio, white for left audio, yellow for video. Coax carries all 3 siganls in one wire, but is usually found on older model TVs as the only source of input. |

It depends on how many "inputs" the TV has. If your TV has MORE than one input, you hook the dvd and the cable box up sepreately. If you need more detailed steps, tell us what you have... |
