hey guys i just got my serial cable and its a male db25 to a female db9. And when i open black list and locate the bin and hit fix it tells me cant open serial port and cant find serial specifed someone please help me with this and merry xmas

oh and if you guys are wondering why my other end is a 25 pin its because sony decided not to put a 9pin one on my computer! also i think the problem is because of my com ports i have com1 through 4 but none work. i guess its not picking up my printer port (25 pin) as one. And which are my com ports just curious would they be my usb's?
