I have just bought a technika dvd recorder from tesco i have a bush tv & a ntl box i have 3 scart leads & 1 rf cable from the ariel outside can anyone PLEASE help me set it up so i can record off cable (the dvd & ntl box & tv all have 2 scart leads)please help my wife is doing my brains in she wants to record oliver off sky at xmas & if she cant i am getting it in the neck

I have a technika dvd recorder from tesco, but although I can play dvd's, the machine can't seem to find any tv channels during the scan process, so therefore I am unable to record from the tv. Can anyone help, please.
