Hi, the specs i see on a panasonic edtv plasma tv is 852x480 so is that the best i can get when i connect my laptop or computer to the tv?

Yes. Whatever you send the tv will be scaled up or down to this native resolution.

Yes. If you send a 1080i signal or 720 P signal to the ED plasma the internal scaler will downscale it to 852 x 480.
