New to this very informative forum, before I buy a DVD recorder with the IEEE 1394 connection. I am hoping someone can answer the following:

I have a Sony Digital8 camcorder. If I have a 60 minute digital8 tape recording (sp mode high quality) how much of this tape will fit on a DVD?

I want to convert my movies but don’t want to have multiple DVDs for one movie.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

You can fit 1 hour per 4.7 gig disc in XP, the highest quality speed.
