I've got a Panasonic DMR-E80H that was setup w/ my Wega tv, VCR, and 2nd DVD. I've just got a cable box and have not been able to use timed recording to the HDD since. The manual shows how to set everything up, but basically tells you to set the channel on the cable box to the channel you want to record. Is there a way to have everything to work as it does w/o a cable box - program the channels and times and forget about it? Thanks in advance... |

Not with a box, unless you can use an IR emitter. |

The E-80 has an internal analog tuner for all your channels numbered under 100. For digital channels you need an S-Video input to your E-80 from your cable box to the L1 input on your E-80. Then program a manual recording on your E-80 using the L1 as the input source then use the internal cable box timer to switch channels. xvxvxvx |
