Thread: DirecTv/Tivo to Sony GX315 problems |

Hey all,
I recently bought a SonyGX315 recorder and have it properly set up. When I record something, no matter what it is, I can play it on the same machine without any problems. I beleive this is when I am recording in "VR" mode. When I try to record in "video" mode, I get the annoying copyright protected box and it stops. This only happens on movies that I TiVo from the DirecTv, ie., IRobot or Bourne Supremacy. When I want to record kids program like the Wiggles, it gives me no problems. Please help!!!

It's the copy protection the premium channels are using. Record straight to the Sony and you'll be fine. The quality will be better anyway. |

Record straight from Direct TV to DVD, not TiVo then DVD. |

Use the TiVo for stuff you don't want to put on DVD. |
