I just got a panasonic DMREH50S and I am hooking it up to a Toshiba 32AF45. Ok , here is the confusion...it said for a better quality use the Y Pb Pr terminal and on my TV it has the Y Pb Pr (they call it Colorstream). So I did this and the picture was all garbled. Finally figured out that I had to change the setting on the DVD to 480i. My question is: what is the point of the TV having that component (Y Pb Pr) if you cannot set it to 480p? So am I even getting a better quality or should I just have hooked it up to the regular audio/video out connections? And if I do hook it up the regular way, can I set the setting on 480p? Does this make any sense?? Hope someone can shed some light on this! Thanks!! P

Component connections are still better, even if you can only use 480i. You need a digital TV to use progressive scan, that TV is analog. |
