My 3 year old son decided to stick a disc in the DVD player - not realizing there was already a disc in there! Now the drive is stuck shut. I don't care about the top disc, but would prefer not to ruin the disc on the bottom, since it has only been watched once! Any ideas on how to get this open? It is a Go Video DVD/VCR combo player (DVR4100).

Take it to an electronics repair shop. Sorry, cannot be more helpful than that. Very few of them will charge you anything for such minor servicing, but if they did, it will be fairly inexpensive. |

Open it and look at the DVD player, a lot of them have a cover over where the disc sits that can be removed with 2-4 screws. |

We unscrewed the DVD changer and cut the top DVD in half to remove it. Then put it back together and it works fine. |
