It seems the simplest way to convert Mini-DV to dvd is to burn mini dv to a dvd recorder on your tv. kind of like copying a tape. then if you want to edit it or store it on your computer you would just pop it into the dvd drive and copy it.

Am I missing something here or is this too simple??
