Hi,

I just bought a brand new Philips DVD recorder, however my joy was shortlived when i realised I could not record any of my cable Tv, as I seem to receive a error message on the TV saying ‘source is copyrighted (macrovison)’. This happens with all channels including the normal ones such as BBC. I have done everything the product manual has told me- Such as

1) Connected the antenna cable (rf out) into the Antenna Socket at the back of the DVD

2) Connected the RF coaxial cable fomr the recorders TV Output socket in the tv antenna socket

3) Connected the scart cable from DVD Recorder to the TV into the matching sockets. etc etc

Basically I have done what the manual said, but is there any way i can get around the macrovison protection so I can record.

Thanks
