Ed Tyson I am a newbee and just got my system up and running thanks to other much smarter people here and while waiting for my receiver I read many posts and I read that no, you can`t use trip lnb due to internal switch not being compatable with FTA. If I am wrong the peeps here will let us know for sure. (99% sure). |

There's a good article @ hash.hu about this under dishes. I beleive it seems you loose some of your programing??? I bought one and tried it out for a day, it seemed to work even though the signal stregnth was about 45-50% and showed red bars the picture was clear. They really aren't that great of dish, the dish 500 has more surface area asi it's 22.5 x 20" and the phase111 is only 18x20. a hard to find tripple lnb holder on a dish 500 would be better, then you could sub. to Dave for the basics. |
