Got my new pansat 2700A yesterday. Flashed with BL new released 10-01-05. Everything works fine and i can enjoy TV for 3 hours. I turned off using pansat remote control. Now, i turned it on using remote control again, but there is no signal to TV. My TV
just said: "No signal"...i unplug the pansat and TV said the same thing. I hooked into another TV and observe the same thing. I reflash with manuafacture's bin. Still same thing. I can see
the green ligh "ON" at the front panel, but that's
it. Everytime i pressed the "menu" button, i do not see any thing show up: no language, no antena setup, nothing...

Please give me some advise...

Unplug the coax going from lnb to your box and plug it back in, if that doesn't work, look at your dish alignment.

Just in case make sure that the coax coming in from the lnb is plugged into the "IF Input" on the receiver.

I unplug the lnb and plug it back in at correct IF input. Still there is nothing.

Usually, when you first hookup, if there is no signal quality, the setup screen (english, antena setup, etc) will appear. Then i go into echo 8.6 or 7.0 to check signal strength and adjust the disk. But now, non of these things show up.
By default, the pansat box should power up and show the language setting first right ?

Yes, try flashing it back to factory settings and then loading the latest bin.

i did that like 4 times and still make no different.
i am thinking that my box has some issue with the hardware now. I just don't know how to go the next step to figure this out. There is a switch on the rear of the box which said "chan3 or chan4". I set to each one when reprogram. Still not working.

So what exactly happends when you press the menu button? does it not respond at all?

On your remote did you try pressing "STB" and then "Menu"?

Hi Everyone, Went to a Satellite dealer enquiring about the Pansat 3500S, particularly about the component outputs and was told by him that some of the customers he sold this to complained that the component outputs doesn't work. Anyone out there have a similar receiver and having the same problems?? Or does anyone know about this?? Thanks.

@Jai Kupchand

You should have started your own thread.

To my knowledge they all work and there was no major recall, in fact I only use component instead of a coax, maybe it's just a select few.

Help please, just installed a pansat 2700a with dish 500 dual lnb,and did a blind scan after loaded the most updated bin file and on 110 and 119 scans i only get up to a certain tp frequency, like 12661. i cant get the channels on the3 higher tp frequnecys.can anyone help.i am getting over 90 percent quality but once i get to the higher tp frequencys no quality, could it be the alignment of the dish even though i get most of the 110,119 channels.

I got my fix. I am using manufacture's bin now
because i am watching free international asian
channels. But, it's the voltage regulator,
nothing to do with my educational flashing
experiment.

1. Remove the cover from the Pansat 2700.
2. Connect box to power and turn on using the back switch.
3. Use the multimeter (voltmeter) and measure the voltages out of the power supply. The correct value for each pin is printed on the board.
4. The "video" circuit uses the 12 volt connection. If you don't have 12 volts at this point then the regulator is bad. The generic part number is 7812 and this 3 leg component is near the front of the box in the power supply board of course. Replace it with a RadioShack regulator ($2).

Marked ******* Measured on BAD ******* Measured on GOOD
GND ************ 0 **************** 0
12 V *********** 1.28 *************** 12
LNB H/V ********* 3.0 *************** 2.59
+5V ************ 3.12 ************** 2.59
GND *********** 3.12 ************** 2.67
GND *********** 0 **************** 0
+7V *********** 0 **************** 0
+30V ********** 6.88 ************** 6.8
+19V ********** 25.14 ************* 25
+14V ********** 20.75 ************* 20.75

All thanks to chupacabra4 and mithoo
