I should have included this question in my first post, I apologize. Is there any way to check a DVD-RW disk for errors prior to using it in a stand alone dvd recorder to record from the tv ? My computer does not have a dvd recorder, it does have a dvd rom drive and a cd-rw drive. Reason I ask this is due to the fact I get a lot of failed DVD-RW disk when recording tv programs on my Panasonic DMR-ES10 recorder. Thanks, Chuck |

DVDInfoPro will scan for errors, I don't know if it works with ROM drives or not, but it's free. http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ |

David, >> don't know if it works with ROM drives or not<< No it doesn't, I just followed your link and tried the program, I guess it has to be a DVD recorder drive to work. Thanks, Chuck |
