I recently purchased a JVC XV-N412S code free dvd player from http://bargainoffers.com It plays my region 2 and region 1 PAL and NTSC DVDs but I also want to connect it through my VCR, does any one know how to make this dvd player MACRO OFF? I know there are other macro off multi region dvd players but I love this one because the quality and sound is much better than apex or daewoo, any help you can provide will be much appreciated. thanks. |

The region menu will appear, then press enter until region 9 is selected and press Play

Never mind.
I just used a hack posted on videohelp.com, it was so simple that I could explain it to my wife on the phone and she change it.
I used the region 0 and it is reading region 1 and 4, excelent tks. |

also i've heard that theres some 25 step limit after which the player locks to the last region... i don't want that to happen... i just want a simple code that only unlocks the player without any side effects...
my main problem is this 3 in 1 dvd disk it doesnt play on the philips player but on my computer it plays perfectly well... how can i make in play on the dvd player as it shows up as "bad disk"

This is how you can make your Venturer PVS166W DVD player MULTIREGION! You will be able to
play DVD’s from all over the world!
1. Switch on the DVD player.
2. Open the disc tray, and leave it open.
3. On your remote key in the following number: 81328
4. Then press the ENTER key a number of times till region 9 comes up.
5. Press the MENU button on your remote.
6. Finally close the tray.
THAT’S IT!

the code listed for the venturer pvs166w works (or seems to) for all venturer models- i saw it listed as the hack for the psv1960 model and i have tried it on my psv1071- but can't test it as i have no dvds from anywhere else :-( |

here is how to unlock philips dvd 622 using IR
* Open the tray NO DISC
* Press 2812 on the remote
* Continue pressing OK till you get 9 displayed on the screen
* Power off and switch on.
The player should now be region free
