Hi,
I bought the Dell Inspiron 9300 which comes with a TSST Corp (Toshiba/Samsung partnership) model TSL462C. It is locked to Region 2 and I need it to be region free...can anyone help me please?

Hi Alex,
I assume that you have Windows XP.
1. click "start" at the bottom left of the screen.
2. click "settings" and then "control panel". You can also get to the control panel from clicking the "My Computer" on the desk top.
3. In the control panel select "System". That will open a box. Select "Hardware" then select "Device Manager". Under the list of devices select the "DVD/CD-Rom from the list.
4. RIGHT click the appropriate DVD drive and select "Properties" from the list. In the box that opens you can change the region.
You can do this up to three times if it hasn't been done before. It will then stay n the last region and can't be changed.
