Hello, I am trying to playback -r and -RW media on my Apple Powerbook. They media is not supported. Or so the message tells me. I have an Best Buy brand (Insignia) unit. It is made by LG or the same people that LG use. It has the exact same back pannel down to the stickers as the LG unit. Are these disc supposed to play on my Mac? it says the disc is being finalized on the -R disc. I guess the -RW does not finalize unless you force it.? Any info would be great.

If they were recorded on a standalone, they need to be finalized. |

Thanks, How fo you finalize the disk? It all appears to be automatic. I read the manual and it offers no help. Thanks, SB |

Which format mode are you using for -RW? VR or Video? DVD+RW : auto finalized DVD-RW VR Mode : Plays on only VR mode compatible players (finalize may or may not be necessary) DVD-RW Video Mode : plays on most players, finalize necessary DVD+RW : finalize necessary I have no info about LG recorders but there should be a Disc Info or Tools menu/display which you can select finalize option. |

Finalization isn't automatic on a standalone. Somewhere in the menus there will be a finalize option. |
