How do U know U have Bev,not Dishnet?...if thats true then, of course U MUST realign the roof dish!...
"scrambled channels" fix many times is a reboot/reset of receiver....BACK of receiver,power off,wait 1 minute,power on,turn to channels 300 or a known working channels.. |

HI I still can't get my receiver its a Fortec lifetime Ultra I have flashed it with a STB updater ver 3.31 and used Al7bar FTA 050613_276_api(NTSC) after that I input the new Keys but I still can not get anything to work all I get is it to say scrambled or blocked station. What am I doing wrong |

I have been reading instructions about how to setup the Fortec Lifetime ULTRA. I have tried all that I have read. But like others, I still get the "Scrambled or bad channel" message. I have been through the instruction several times, making sure I've used the latest keys as given by LK this evening. LK can you verify the keys right now? I need help!! What am I doing wrong? |

Fortec key change method
1)With receiver hooked up to TV and satellite:
2)Press MENU on the remote control
3)Then right side arrow to CHANNEL EDIT
4)Go down to CODE, and press OK, and enter 1010 (could also be 1668 or 1688)
5)Then right side arrow to turn OFF, KEYCODE FUNCTION
6)Go to NAGRAVISION and press OK
7)Now press the right side arrow next to the OK button 11 times until it says ((DISH NETWORK))
8)Go down to KEY Number, then right side arrow to set to "00".
9)Go down to Key Data and enter the latest KEY with your remote control.
D5 6F BB 83 00 D8 B0 4E ...(example only)
10)Press OK, "you will see the STORE button blinking, when it stop you know that KEY Number “00” is saved.
11)Go up to the Key and Go to the right "1 time" (that will change key 00 to 01
12)Go Down and enter latest Key 01 change ..11 B1 AA A7 8B 9E 45 8B (example only)
13)Press OK, "you will see the STORE button blinking, when it stop you know that KEY Number “01” is saved.
14)Press EXIT once.
15)Then right side arrow to turn Code back "ON" and enter "1668" then EXIT, EXIT.
16)Lastly, on BACK of receiver (not remote)..power OFF,wait 1 minute ,power ON..this is a reset

I am able to view/hear several FTA channels (Hope Chennal, Esperanza TV,ATN/ACN Service, 3ABN English, 3ABN Latino, LLBN, Peoples Network, KRUL Fox64 then some radio stations - 3ABN Radio, Radio 74,Lifetalk Radio). I am able to only hear the audio of the following: Court TV, MSNBC, Starz!, National Geographic, Fox News, Weather Channel, CNBC, AE History, AE Biography.
Does Dish Network carry anything on this Sat?
Also, the System Info on my unit is as follows:
Al7bar FTA Ultra
Al6bar - 2.76
Boot ver: 6.0
Jun. 13, 2005(Nt)
Is this what it should be?
One thing that I should note: When I was FLASHING the unit with the above version, it stopped a couple of times with the "Retry or Cancel" message. After pressing retry several times it continued to the end, then gave me the Download Complete message. Do you think that could have affected it in any way?
Is there anything that you could possibly think of why it does not function as it should? |

Has anyone else using the Fortec Lifetime Ultra dish lost their PPV channels? I am able to get basically all of the other channels except the ppv and many other movie channels. |

active means just that...its the ACTIVE key that was just/last changed..pushing the right arrow is changing it from Key0 to Key1...U will NOT see the word ACTIVE on the screen (LOL) and U do not enter/input that word.....U ONLY need to change the ACTIVE key, since thats the ONLY one that has changed....the other key should still be good from the last time U changed it,because it is NOT active and has not changed...
Now do U get it?...a little common sense goes a long ways!
Everybody has lost MANY channels to Nagra2 now...all PPV and PPV events are dead and gone to N2 now..after 31 August, U will only have the basic top 60 channels for a very short period of time.. |

I dont seem to get any channels on 119 when I do a scan it fails got lots on 110 and the signal for 119 and 110 is at 98% you think I have a file missing? |

LK, my pansat 2500a was setup with bin file before (not by me). But by accident, I pressed the factory default key somedays ago. Does this mean that the bin was deleted by pressing that key? so, the bin file need to be reinstalled? If yes, what is the "appropriate loader" for doing that? Thanks, Whitemouse |

We will say this, we do not trust any of those factories, Fortec and Pansat, all run and owned by the same peoples, sharing and controlling the market.
Today is the fix for the Ultra, no, maybe in three weeks, yes ?
We visited Al7bar-soft1.com, checked if there was any new updates, no. We looked into the Technical Discsussion Forum. Keep in mind this is Fortec, only.
There was BlackList, making a statement that there will be no release for the Ultra until the clone issue was fixed, 2 to 3 weeks.
So, BL represents both, Fortec and Pansat, no fixes until the Pansat2700a generates more sales.
This well may be a hoax, but it did cause me to reflect on how all of us are controlled and manipulated by the factories, one of the same.
We recommend no further support of Fortec and Pansat and C00lsat.
We recommend a pci card, all the software is free without kissing azz, however not for everyone.
We recommend, a Dreambox, but not for everyone.
We have reservations in regards to the ViewSat, but possibly the best substitute

with the 2700 just goto al7bar .tk or al7bar .tc whichever one you want. Then get the bin file called X-87BL_050901_114_api.bin. Put this bin on your pansat with a current Blacklist loader which can also be found on these sites. You need to hook it up to your computer with the cable that hopefully came with the unit in order to put the bin file on there. After that just hook it back up to the dish and tv then go into the the menu and scan for channels. Now you have NAG1&2 up and running. |
