-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trying to record on the new dvr from tv. Setup doesnt see cable channels. Cable is hooked up to vcr. Do I use another S-video and audio cables from dvr to tv? Also have everything hooked up to home theater box. Thanks for assistance.

If you run the RF cable from the wall to the VCR, and then S-video or composite to the DVR, you're stuck with whatever channel the VCR is on. If your DVR takes advantage of the TV Guide schedule, you won't be able to use it with this set-up. If you want to keep the RF cable connected to the VCR, run another RF cable from the VCR to the DVR. If that's not possible, buy a cable splitter and run RF cable to both devices. Then the DVR's set-up utility will be able to find the cable channels, and you'll be able to use the scheduler. Hope this helps. |
