everything working ok accept video recording. shows no audio/ vedio input signal trough av 1-2-3 inputs. seems to me a software probelm. where can get the free software and manual fro my panasonic nv-mv40 vcr. or any solution.

Are you changing the input on the VCR? Just connecting something to the line inputs doesn't set the VCR to line. If there is an input button on the remote, use it. If not, go through the channels till you get to the right input.

It's possible the connections were never soldered. I saw it happen once before.

Lost remote and can't find the right way to input line mode to play dvd, and gamecube videos. So I'd need help to select line mode on my Panasonic VHS cassette player. Model #PV-9455S

Try going through the channels and see if you can get to line. If not, you need a remote.
