Hello,
My housemate has Direct TV with 2 receivers and is a subscriber. A friend out West recently gave me his receiver with card in back (a Phillips like my housemates). I plugged it in yesterday to see if it works but none of the channels work and the listings all come up as if from a different region. Is there a way to reset or program the channels for my region or to the same settings as my housemates?

you have to call and add the new receiver and its 4.99 a month if i where u i would have him add it and just pay him the 4.99 that simple then it will work
