i am going to purchase another dvd recorder soon and was wondering what is the easiest dvd recorder to remove macrovision from. |

Not sure that it matters when the DVD is copy protected. I know of no consumer DVD recorders that internally remove the protection. |

The older Lite On recorders were easily hacked, I don't know about the new ones. |

You might go visit http://www.codefreedvd.com. I believe they sell a recorder that is both region- and Macrovision-free. |

Most all Lite On recorders can be hacked to make region free (RPC1) and remove the microvision on their DVD burners. Unless the internal software prevents you, this is quickly done using a simple program from CDFreaks.com (LTNRPC.EXE)and your PC. You will have to remove the top cover from your unit to access the burner. You would then connect the burner to your PC as Master Slave. I've used it many times and it works.
