My DVD recorder crashed a few weeks ago but the hard drive was not affected. Has anyone been able to remove the hard drive from the DVD recorder then connect it to their computer as a 2nd hard drive? There were some files saved on the hard drive that I'd really rather not lose. I've just attempted this; and while my computer recognizes the hard disk is there, it doesn't recognize any files (or the format of the hard disk for that matter).
