I am running two TVs with one set of rabbit ears. But, one TV gets a few more channels than the other. Would a "booster" help to get the remaining missing channels?

Why buy a booster? As cheap as rabbit ears are get another set.

The second TV is in the basement and the rabbit ears are on the main floor. Reception wouldn't be as good and I probably would have less channels.

Hard to say what boosting the signal would do-so many variables. You may be losing some signal due to distance. Before spending any money, might want to try connecting current rabbit ears directly to second tv just for comparison.

Just get yourself a distribution amp, and life will be beautiful. I've run several of these things, over the years, and one is as good as another, IMHO. You don't need to spend a lot of money.

Example: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2625064

Basically, you plug 'em in and forget 'em...
