I have 2 TV's hooked to Warner Digital (HD) cable boxes. I've used the componet V output on the cable boxes. My Pioneer Elite will not strech the 720i or 480 channels. My Mitsubisi Diamond strechs the channels but i get bars on the sides of the screen. I've been told i need a different model cable box, one that has a v-format feature. Is this true? what Warner box does this?

Im guessing your cable boxes aint hooked up to HD TV's so thats a reason why it will not fill up the screen usually the local HD Broadcast's dont fill up the screen it would be a square box but as for the movie channels it fills up but you still see the top and bottom bars, it has nothin to do with your cable box its your TV.

your HDTV should have settings to change the display 4:3,auto etc. I still say it has nothin to do with your cable boxes.
