A HATACHI 46 INCH SCREEN MODEL 46UK20B/21K THE SCREEN WITH A RAINBOW EFFECT. YELLOW AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN AND BLUE AT THE BOTTOM. I REMOVED THE FRONT GRILL. PRESSING THE CONVERGENCE BUTTON I GOT THE PLUS SIGN AND I ATTEMPTED TO ALIGN THE RED GREEN AND BLUE COLORS BUT I COULDN'T ALIGN THE BLUE GUN. THE OVERALL PICTURE IS AMAZINGLY SHARP EXCEPT FOR THE ABOVE PROBLEM. ANY SUGGESTIONS????? |

I had a similar problem. All objects on the screen had colored shadows. It looked 3d without the glasses. The repair person had to take my TV to the shop and replaced the "convergence" at a cost of $515.00. Does this sound right to anyone? |

There are 2 chips on the convergion board that cause theses problems. They are about $65 each in Canadaian money and you need to be experienced in soldering intergrated circuits on and into the circuit boards. |
