I found a TV outside a neighbors house waiting for the trash man. I took it inside my house to see if it was fixable. The cable input in the back is broke completely off & the power cord has been cut but there is about 2-3 inches still hanging off. Could i splice another power cord to it & seal it with electrical tape? I have an extra computer power cord i could use. Would this work? I've read earlier posts about how i could use the video/audio imputs in the back of the TV using a modulator or VCR for cable imput.
Any advice?

You could splice another cord, it should be soldered or use wire caps, then tape it. You should try to get the ground right, if both cords have a white line on one side, connect them together.
