My son recently broke the coax connector in our television in his haste to move it. It's a large screen TV, relatively new, with other input jacks that we don't utilize. Is it possible to hook up the combo DVD/VCR to the TV without using the TV's coaxial connection?

Use RCA cables from the combo to the TV. Then you can use the tuner in the VHS. You'll need to set the TV on whatever input you used.

Dave:
That was really quite easy, and worked great. I thought I had a 32" boat anchor on my hands. Thanks for your help!

It's better that way anyway, video is better and the audio from the VCR will be stereo, with coax it's mono.
