I recently purchased a Toshiba DVD Recorder and am having no luck connecting it to my Time Warner Cable HD-DVR Reciever. Does anyone have a solution to connecting, I dont need to record HD, would be happy simply recording regular programs. I have a panasonic Wide screen tv, I guess I just need to get the wires going in the right direction, please help there is nothing in manual. Thanks in advance. |

You can't record HD, you need to set to SD for recording. |

Hooked to Time Warner HD-DVR - didn't realize until recently that recording to DVD from it was very simple - my cable hookup is cable box to DVD recorder out to TV - I have the Scientific Atlantic box and my dvd recorder has the VCR+ feature which I do not use since there is no obvious sensor on the cable box - so since it's set already to 3, I press play on what I've recorded on the DVR and record on the DVD - and it's in business. It works fine. I do find that lately Time Warner's signal seems to break up a lot, but then that's probably show biz. I'm using a Sony RDRGX300 and it's quality is great. Bob |
