hi all, jus wondering wot the good and the bad points/things of a projector are when used for viewing tv/dvd's/ and xbox games.........???
oh yeah, and how much are they in Australia??

lmap life usally from 2000-5000 if your luck (5000) and turning on and off a ton will kill the life more i would suggest using the projector for jus the dvds and still have a crt tube tv or lcd for the other to conseve bulb life

Good Points
-----------

- Unmatched and amazing screen size
This makes gaming, movies etc very immersive, as you get caught up in the action, because the figures on screen are larger than life. Its quite a feeling.

- Very portable
You can take it to friends' places (assuming you have friends LOL), for video game parties and play like never before

Those are the only good points with a projector setup, but the first point is worth several points. :-)

Bad Points
----------

- Costly bulb changes
Not feasible as a full-time viewing device, because of this.

- Fan noise, especially if the projector is placed closed to viewers

- Need for darker rooms, depending on brightness of the projector

- Screen-door effect with LCD projectors

- Rainbow effect with DLP projectors

- For the same price as a Panasonic ET-LAE700, you can get a Sony Wega 42" LCD rear-projection TV, thats much brighter, much more convenient and much more stylish and sleek.
